Clinton Lewis, JD & MBA – Founder & President

Clinton is an experienced Legal Recruiter and Business Developer with 10+ years of collective success in legal recruiting & staffing, eDiscovery and business development within the legal, financial services, compliance and technology industries. He has an incomparable ability and talent in developing and sustaining solid relationships with his loyal clientele and candidates. He is an expert at connecting people to one another through the art of recruitment. He is well known in the legal industry for his understanding, knowledge and exceptional client service.

Clinton originally started his legal career as a Sr. Litigation Paralegal with Paul Hastings. He joined Law Resources in 2005 and quickly became an integral part of the team, handling the full cycle recruiting & staffing process and business development for (perm and temp) attorneys, paralegals and legal staff. He relocated to New York City in 2007 to join Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA) where he was trained and specialized in senior associate and partner level placements for the Partner Practice Group. In 2010, he was asked and promoted over to assist in the birth MLA’s legal recruiting & staffing division, Inside Edge Legal (IEL), where he handled the full cycle recruiting & staffing process and business development for (perm and temp) attorneys, paralegals and compliance specialists. Since leaving IEL, he has worked for other agencies in New York City where he handled the full cycle recruiting & staffing process and business development for (perm and temp) placements and specialized small and large scale eDiscovery for attorneys, paralegals and compliance specialists. His commitment to legal recruiting, continuous business, and testimonials received from clients and candidates led Clinton to open the doors of Lewis Search Group.

Clinton earned his JD from Emory University, MBA in HR Management and Masters of Arts in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix (campus), and BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In his spare time, he enjoys writing, gym, playing volleyball and tennis, rooting for the Chicago White Sox and spending time with family, friends and Niko, his Yorkie.

At Lewis Search Group, Clinton’s focus is on leading the firm’s client development and recruiting services strategy for the perm and temp staffing practices. His responsibilities will also include working with New York-based law firm and corporate legal department clients to help manage their complex legal workload with customized recruiting & staffing solutions.

Gerald T. Edwards, JD – Executive Recruiter

For nearly a decade, Gerald T. Edwards, Esq. has worked in the executive recruitment industry, placing professionals at various levels in the fields of law, finance, and banking. He is a New York attorney who has operated a private law practice since 1999 and has taught Business Law at Baruch College.

Prior to entering the executive search industry, Gerald worked as a Securities Attorney and Analyst for several years with Alliance Capital and UBS PaineWebber on matters regarding corporate law, investment management, and securities compliance.

He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Howard University and is a graduate from Syracuse University, College of Law. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, and a teaching certificate in Business English from Columbia University’s Teachers College.

Jessica Lewis, JD & MBA – Professional Recruiter

Jessica has been successfully recruiting, placing a broad range of professionals in a variety of industries to top law firms and corporate legal departments across markets for 5+ years. She takes an active approach to recruiting and values establishing & retaining long-term relationships with candidates. Having worked at a big firm, her experience has given her deep understanding into the legal recruiting process and what it takes to develop strong working & trusting relationships with candidates and provide exceptional customer service.

She earned her B.S. degree in Political Science & Economics from University of Chicago. She holds an MBA degree in Human Resources Management from New York University (Stern).

She is originally from Milwaukee, WI and enjoys being wife to husband, Thomas and mother to son, Kaden. She also enjoys cooking specialized meals, working out, and interior designing in her spare time.

David Lupembe, MBA – Sourcing Recruiter

David has been successfully recruiting, placing professionals in a variety of industries to top law firms and corporate legal departments across markets including Toronto, Canada. He takes an active approach to recruiting and values establishing & retaining long-term relationships with candidates.

He earned his B.A. degree in Legal Studies from Winona State University. He holds an MBA and Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.

He is originally from Chicago, IL and enjoys cooking, working out, movies, and traveling in his spare time.
